After training, he started to win a few races and fell in love with the sport. Now, at 15 years old, he is competing around the country and has even participated in races in Switzerland and Belgium. He won his first age group South African title for mountain biking at the age of 13 in the U15 age group and achieved his first South African road title at the age of 14 in the U15 group. He races a lot on mountain bikes and started road racing 2 years ago. Recently Joshua won a road race in Belgium. In 2022, he went to Switzerland and won a mountain bike XCO in Luggendorf.

Joshua loves spending time with his family and friends, and he receives great support from them, which inspires and motivates him.
