Rebecca is an ultra-distance athlete with a passion for exploring South Africa’s most beautiful gravel roads. Her love of long-distance cycling was inspired by her father who encouraged her to enter her first ultra. The pair can often be found on the start line together.

Having competed in some of South Africa’s most prestigious ultra-distance cycling races, Rebecca has built up an impressive collection of results but prefers to focus on her love of adventure as the driving force behind her huge efforts. Her favourite place to ride is the gravel roads near her family home in the Eastern Cape. Off the bike, Rebecca values making a difference through her work to improve financial inclusion in Africa. She also has a passion for food and loves to entertain friends and family.

Rebecca hopes that her riding will inspire more ladies to take on extreme events and believes that women really do have what it takes to compete with men over ultra-distances.
